The Lower Peninsula finals arrive Friday and Saturday, and we have a Cass City senior worth watching every swing: Lindsey Langenburg is making her third Finals trip, and she earned it the hard way. Her 81 on Oct. 6 tied for the third-best regional round in all of Division 4, and she finished first or tied for first in six of the eight Big Thumb Conference Jamborees this fall before tying for first at the conference tournament. The Red Hawks are headed back too, advancing to the Final for the second-straight year as a team after finishing runner-up at their Regional, falling to Millington by six strokes. A small change paid off — Langenburg switched from a pitching wedge to a sand wedge for her chip shots this season. Up in Division 1, Northville remains the measuring stick, coming off its second-straight championship and ranked No. 1 all but two weeks this fall, winning its Regional at Salem Hills by 46 strokes. Play begins both Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m., with live scoring through iWanamaker.
