Imlay City Storms to 4-0, Sits Atop the Blue Water Area Conference!

What a Week 4 across our High School gridirons, and no story lands harder than Imlay City. The Spartans edged North Branch 17-14 to move to 4-0 — a team that won only three games all of last season and just 11 combined since their last four-win year in 2020. Now they share the Blue Water Area Conference lead with Almont and Macomb Lutheran North, all three sitting 3-0 in league play. The turnaround stories kept coming. Saranac is 4-0 for the first time since 2011 and hasn't allowed a point since Week 2, giving up only 20 all fall. Okemos climbed to 3-1 — their most wins since 2018 — after a group that managed just five victories over the last seven seasons. And Clarkston keeps slamming the door: the Wolves blanked Rochester Adams 45-0 and now ride a two-game shutout streak into Oakland Activities Association Red play. Leslie, meanwhile, won on a touchdown pass with nine seconds left to stay perched atop the Cascades Conference North.
