Three in a row. Our Northville Mustangs cut down the field at Bedford Valley once more, posting a 312-319-631 to capture the Lower Peninsula Division 1 girls golf title — their third consecutive crown, and an 18-shot cushion over runner-up Macomb Dakota that left no doubt. Portage Central grabbed third, six better than Okemos in fourth. What a story in the middle of that Northville card: McKenzie Stevens, Naaz Gill, and Cam Baker tied for 11th at 156 apiece — the same trio that tied for eighth back in 2024 and started this whole run, with Gill the lone senior. Up top, Okemos freshman Saisha Patil and Troy's Hannah Kim shared the spotlight at 148, Kim closing with an even-par 72. Meanwhile over at Katke on the Ferris State grounds, Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian turned a back-to-back into a statement, winning Division 3 by a staggering 37 strokes after a one-stroke squeaker a year ago. Coach Myrna Duflo's crew built a 14-shot lead Friday and then went seven lower than anyone Saturday.
