Rough Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park, as the White Sox erased a 3-0 and a 4-1 hole to steal a 7-5 win and finish off a three-game sweep of our Tigers in front of 34,251. The Tigers jumped ahead early behind a moment for the ages: Brett Callahan tripled and drove in two on the first pitch of his big-league career, becoming the first Tigers hitter to triple in his first at-bat since Bill Irwin did it back on May 18, 1912. Max Clark chipped in an RBI single, Colt Keith led off the third with a homer, and Dillon Dingler snapped an 0-for-28 skid with an RBI double. But Munetaka Murakami answered with his 28th homer in the seventh to put Chicago up 6-4, and Miguel Vargas added insurance in the ninth. The sweep drops Detroit 5 1/2 back in the AL Central at 60-64. Up next Detroit will travel to Pittsburgh, where Framber Valdez gets Monday's opener against the Pirates. Time to get off the mat.
