Iowa Steals One in Ann Arbor as Hawkeyes Drive 91 Yards for the Win, 20-19!

This one hurts, and there's no dressing it up: No. 17 Iowa marched 91 yards on the final drive and Hank Brown found Reece Vander Zee on a 16-yard game-ending touchdown to beat the No. 18 Wolverines 20-19 Saturday in Ann Arbor. UM led 19-14 in the fourth after Bryce Underwood hit JJ Buchanan on a 49-yard strike, and for a night that looked to favor Michigan it slipped away on the last play. The margins told the whole story. An unnecessary roughness penalty on third down at midfield kept the Hawkeyes breathing, and Brown's 29-yard pass to Addison Ostrenga set up the final snap with two seconds left. Michigan finished 2 of 4 in the red zone; Iowa converted on both trips inside the 20. That's the ballgame. One streak fell hard: the Wolverines had won 47 straight when leading at halftime, the longest active mark in FBS. Now Michigan sits 3-1, 0-1 in the Big Ten, and head to Minnesota for the first road game next Saturday at Noon on FOX to answer back.
