The wait is nearly over, Michigan fans, because Jason Beck is officially the man calling the plays for the Wolverines offense in 2026, and if what he built at Utah is any indication, we are in for a very different brand of football at the Big House this fall! Beck's Utah offense in 2025 finished fourth in the country in total yards per game at 482.9 and fourth in points per game at 41.3, all while playing at a genuinely blistering pace — 74.0 plays per game, good for 12th nationally in tempo. Now compare that to a Michigan attack that crawled along at 66.0 plays per game and ranked among the slowest offenses in the entire country, and you start to see why senior tight end Zack Marshall and the rest of the room have every reason to be fired up about this shift. Faster snaps, more plays, more chances to put points on the board. This is the change we've been asking for.
Feel free to follow the link below to keep tabs on our Wolverines as Beck installs his up-tempo offense at Michigan Stadium.
